Run 2 Brake the Road Toll

Join us on Sunday, April 19th 2020 at The Tan Running Track in Melbourne.

 Reducing road trauma by changing attitudes and behaviours of ALL drivers and passengers.

If we accept this 'road toll' as the price of our lifestyle or getting from A to B, another 2,500 people will die in the next 10 years and 50,000 people will be hospitalised with serious and life changing injuries.

Let's put a BRAKE on this and RUN to make a change and SAVE LIVES!

Run for Charity

Road Trauma Support Services Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation contributing to the safety and wellbeing of road users.

We provide counselling and support to people impacted by road trauma, and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education.

Counselling services are provided free of charge to anyone who has been impacted by a road incident. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm.

They are committed to educating the community and raising public awareness about road trauma and how it affects people’s lives. Road Trauma Support Services Victoria does this by positively influencing driver attitudes and behaviours with the aim of reducing crashes and the resulting trauma.

Training Program

 Beginning Runners

Do you have less than 6 months of running experience? 

Download one of our training programs.

It  will get you across the finish line with confidence.

We have training programs for the 5km, 10km & 21km Half Marathon Event.

Travel and Parking

Located at Birdwood Avenue, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria at Melbourne Gardens is approximately two kilometres from Melbourne's city centre.

Public Transport

Bus:Route 605 (Melbourne Observatory/Birdwood Avenue)

Tram: Routes 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 (Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance/St Kilda Rd)

Parking

Please note that parking conditions will vary according to event. The City of Melbourne enforces parking restrictions in the area. Disabled parking bays are marked on the Gardens Map. It is advised you park away from the location and walk to the event or catch public transport on the day.

Cycling

Designated bicycle paths along the Yarra River and Melbourne CBD lead to Melbourne Gardens.

Please note that riding of bicycles in the gardens is not permitted.

Dedicated bicycle parking is available at Observatory Gate.
